Job Description:

The L3Harris Project Quality Manager is a technical project management position focused on the ensuring the quality associated to the LMR system design, and implmentation. This position will oversee technical aspects to the Land-Mobile Radio system through the entire life cycle of the project, from design to implementation, ensuring compliance with all internal procedures, processes, drawings, checklists, and survey forms followed. This position may oversee quality inspectors or technicians, reviewing and auditing their work.

This role oversees all technical aspects of a large, complex tier 1 project after contract award including: final design, implementation and as-built documentation, factory and on-site installation and system optimization through auditing internal processes, procedures, and system documentation. Project execution includes partnering with Project Managers, System Engineers, and other team members to ensure complete project lifecycle integration. Must be able to successfully interact with customers, project teams, and delegate as well as accept technical project responsibilities.

Essential Functions:

Job Responsibilities include auditing technical functions to ensure quality of design documentation, and that internal procedures, checklists, etc. are followed and managed per internal processes. This role requires frequent discussions with customers, consultants, subcontractors and other L3Harris personnel as necessary during project lifecycles.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

The Project Quality Manager must have practical hands-on field experience implementing complex Land-Mobile Radio and IT systems.

Able to work within a cross-functional team environment. Self-starter with effective communication skills, both verbal and written (English). The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills and have demonstrated the capacity to effectively foster team building within and beyond his/her work group. • Experience with Corrective & Preventive Action, and Root Cause Analysis

• Experience with ISO 9001

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent project tasks and prioritize them appropriately

• Has clear & concise ability to communicate issues in a less technical sense to management and business

• Self-motivated team player, able to set priorities and manage to deadlines

• Six Sigma Greenbelt or Blackbelt certification
