Job Description:

The Field Technician A is responsible for Installing, operating, maintaining, repairing and modifing equipment. Performs a variety of maintenance and technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations. Troubleshoots and performs diagnostic test of equipment malfunctions. Installs, upgrades and removes products ensuring coordinative engineering field change. Maintains effective customer communications and relations. May provide onsite training of customer support personnel. Responsible for the installation, check out, operation, maintenance and repair and modification of customer equipment and/or software. Performs diagnostic tests to troubleshoot equipment failures.

Essential Functions:

  • Up to, but not limited to 50% travel to global locations. Travel may be required with less than 24 hours’ notice.

  • Provide basic maintenance and operations training to various size groups at customer destinations.

  • Work on call and other functional schedules as required.

  • Produce timely and detailed service reports.

  • Collaborate with larger Field Services team to plan and implement Field Service initiatives.

  • Document processes, knowledgebase articles and update databases for case tracking and issue resolution.

  • Maintain issued assets, tools of trade and conduct routine inventory inspections and reports.

  • Ability to lift and pull up-to 50lbs.

  • Dynamic, positive, and resourceful self-starter who can work independently and drive results.

    Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 0 to 3 years of prior related experience.

  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License w/clean record.

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Passport to support international travel projects.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Technical Degree or Certification(s) in Information Technology, Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering.

  • Global travel experience.

  • Bi-lingual: English and Spanish.
