  What the role will involve

  The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

• Responsible for the cost and on time delivery of materials, supplier management, sourcing of new suppliers, supply chain risk reduction and maintenance of strategic pricing models

• Successfully execute on-time, on-cost & on-quality delivery of all required procurement activities that support our product portfolio offerings.

• Maintenance of strategic pricing models

• Support the preparation of quotations/tenders, analysis of supplier bids, contract negotiations, the award of contracts and Make/Buy decisions as required

• Support and execute PLM processes to manage change and minimise the risk and related cost of obsolescence

• Work with the Continuous Improvement Team to help facilitate the application and sustainment of our Design for Supply Chain and Design for Manufacture requirements

  What you’ll bring

  The role of Senior Buyer requires the following experience and skills:

• Professional qualification in Supply Chain Management, through CIPS or similar

• Ability to handle multiple projects, high volume activity and establish priorities in a dynamic business environment

• Good with analytics – proficient working knowledge of Excel is essential

• Experienced in risk identification, management, monitoring, and mitigation techniques

• Proficient in providing key Supply Chain data and deliverables, using best practice in a complex environment, remaining outcome and customer focused
