Position Overview:

L3Harris’ Communication Systems segment is currently seeking a Lead, Program Manager to join our International Programs team.

Subject matter expert with comprehensive knowledge of job area and in-depth knowledge of project management. Manages large, complex project initiatives of substantial importance to the organization with minimal oversight or direction. Communicates within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to practices, processes and approaches. Makes significant improvements in processes, systems, or products. Provides input into new products/processes and implements operational plans that have measurable impact on business or functional results. Work is guided by individual annual goals and objectives with minimal oversight or direction. Frequently responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees across the Company within area of expertise. Frequently responsible for managing large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, involving large cross-functional teams. Communicates within and outside of the organization which include customers or vendors. Works to influence others to accept individual or team’s views or practices and changes to concepts, practices and approaches. Communicates with leadership regarding matters of importance to the functional or business area. May conduct briefings with leaders. Work consists of making significant improvements of processes, systems, solutions, or products to enhance performance of job area. May develop new concepts or standards. Opportunities for problem solving and innovation are undefined, where information is difficult to obtain. Conducts extensive investigation to understand root cause of problems. Problems span a wide range of difficult and unique issues across the function and/or business area. Implements strategic goals established by leadership. Establishes operational plans for job area with short-term impact on results (e.g., less than 1 year). Provides input into new products, processes, standards and/or operational plans that will have measurable impact on the achievement of overall function or business results.

Essential Functions:

  • Reporting to the Sr. Manager of International Programs at BCS, this person will be responsible for the execution of international programs in assigned region with increasingly complex customer requirements

  • While leading a completely cross-functional program team, he or she will have responsibility for ensuring customer expectations are met, while also meeting the fiscal and schedule needs of internal stakeholders.

  • Project / Program Management

  • With general oversight, leads a cross-functional team with the goal of execution of awarded contracts

  • Work closely with International and US customer representatives to ensure customer satisfaction is maintained.

  • Expected to meet financial and schedule commitments of assigned programs.

  • Utilize program management best practices to ensure successful execution of programs.

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of project leadership experience including overseeing design reviews, factory and customer acceptance testing, customer deliveries including installations and training and management reviews

  • Experience with International FMS and direct commercial

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to drive change

  • Experience with communications products or networking equipment strongly preferred.

  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel software; ability to conduct internet research and effectively use email.

  • Familiarity with MRP and CRM software programs is important
