Job Description:

The Business Analyst supports the Space & Airborne Systems (SAS) Operations e3 group by leading metrics identification, preparation/development, forecasting, and data analysis activities. Primary responsibility will be the preparation of staffing analysis that ensure alignment of resource supply with program demand across the Operations organization. Additional responsibilities include working with the execution teams, finance, and business analytics to provide analytical solutions; additionally, providing the management of data quality assurance processes, performing root cause analysis, and testing of system changes & enhancements prior to production implementation. The Business Analyst will also initiate systems changes on behalf of Operations in order to drive additional insight into Enterprise data and streamline business processes

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare operations staffing analysis reports of enterprise supply/demand data, work with operations management to implement, and report status.

  • Manage large disparate datasets in Excel and perform statistical and mathematical modeling to develop integrated solutions to business needs.

  • Perform detailed analysis in order to spot trends in underlying data. Make recommendations to management on corrective actions plans.

  • Effectively organize data in tabular, graphical and summary fashion for presentation to operations management as well as various other stakeholders.

  • Periodic review of source data streams to ensure data integrity.

  • Manage data Analytics master data and associated change management processes.

  • Participate/lead assigned cross functional projects to implement system enhancements and act as a test resource to assist in verification of changes that impact analytic dashboards.

  • Create an environment where people communicate openly and honestly. Actively seek, collaborate, and share information to ensure a common understanding.

  • Provide ad-hoc and what-if analysis on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering, Business Administration, Information Systems, Operations Management or related degree.

  • 4+ years' of relevant experience with Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years of relevant experience with a Master's Degree

  • 2+ Years of Microsoft Excel Experience using Pivot Tables, Formulas and Macros

  • 1+ Years of business analysis, business intelligence, statistical analysis or financial analysis experience
