L3Harris Inspector 3 (2nd Shift) in Redmond, Washington

We have an immediate need for an experienced Inspector-3 (2nd Shift) who ideally has aerospace experience working with electromechanical space flight components, assemblies and systems. IPC electrical fabrication experience is highly desirable. Candidates must be willing and available to work other shifts or overtime as needed to meet production schedules. This position will be located in our Redmond, Washington facility. Typical hours are 2:30pm - 1:00am (4/10 shift Mon-Thursday).

In our Redmond, WA, site (Seattle area), we fabricate, assemble, and test chemical and electric thrusters, as well as small scale propulsion systems. Our electric propulsion systems enable a wide variety of missions from the exploration of our solar system to global communication and the surveillance of severe weather and wild fires.

Essential Functions:

Working under general supervision:

  • Perform mechanical and electrical test/ inspection.

  • Review manufacturing orders and issue kit items.

  • Qualified to perform all duties of lower inspection grades and perform such duties when applicable and required.

  • Train lower level inspectors as directed.

    SECONDARY FUNCTIONS: Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

    Additional Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:

  • This position requires basic print reading skills along with the ability to use common inspection tools and instruments with limited instruction or supervision.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

  • Must have general computer skills that include MS Word, MS Excel, and use of email.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle is preferred.

  • At least 1 year of related experience as an inspector or assembly technician in an aerospace environment desired.

  • Experience with non-destructive testing is a plus.

  • An Associate's degree in a technical discipline or a two-year certificate from a college or technical school is preferred.

  • IPC electrical fabrication experience is highly desirable.

    In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $44,500 - $82,500 ($21.39/hr- 39.66/hr) . This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
