Your Role:

Reporting to the Senior Director of Human Resources, the HR technician will provide technical support in human resources and benefits.

Responsabilities:

  • Update data in the HR management system, by creating employees' file, processing requests of change and codifying group insurance coverage.

  • Welcome employees to the HR department.

  • Extract various reports from the HR management information system.

  • Prepare HR management statistics.

  • Present the Benefits Program to the new employees.

  • Provide technical support in the staffing process and in the coordination of career events.

  • Provide technical support to HR Business Partners.

Qualifications

  • Collegial diploma or Certificate in Human Resources Management or in Administration; or equivalent.

  • 3 years of experience in a similar position.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Significant skills for customer service.

  • Strong organizational skills, thoroughness and attention to detail.

  • Bilingualism mandatory (written and spoken).

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point).

  • Knowledge of Power BI – an asset.

  • Important assets: knowledge of HR Expert and PeopleSoft.

  • Experience in a unionized environment – an asset.

Operational requirements :

  • Must be eligible for registration to the Controlled Goods Program ;

  • Must be eligible to obtaining and maintaining the government of Canada’s “ Reliability ” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance;

  • Location not accessible via public transportation, car required.
