Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a strong IT Project Manager to drive the successful delivery of large, complex data projects from initiation through completion. This role involves managing multiple project phases, including scoping, planning, execution, and closure. You will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and in line with L3Harris’s data security and governance policies.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing data-focused projects and working closely with cross-functional teams. The Lead IT Project Manager will oversee various aspects such as cost estimates, resource planning, risk mitigation, communication strategies, and knowledge transfer, ensuring that all project objectives are met while maintaining data integrity and security standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including milestones, timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation.

  • Collaborate with IT PMO and key stakeholders to ensure alignment with IT policies and secure data collection, storage, and analysis.

  • Lead project teams through all phases of the data project life cycle, including go-live readiness, user acceptance testing, and project close-out.

  • Coordinate with stakeholders to gather business requirements, develop solutions, and execute strategies that meet objectives.

  • Oversee risk management, creating and executing mitigation plans as necessary.

  • Ensure knowledge transfer and maintain project documentation, including data connections, pipelines, and sync schedules.

  • Conduct training and provide ongoing support to ensure seamless adoption of new processes and systems.

  • Lead post-project reviews, capturing lessons learned and communicating outcomes to leadership.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 6 years prior experience in IT Project Management, Graduate Degree with 4 years prior experience in IT Project Management. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience in IT Project Management.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Managing Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, or Analytics projects, preferably with BI tools such as Palantir Foundry.

  • Strong project management skills in planning, execution, and monitoring of data-centric projects.

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders from various backgrounds.

  • Proficiency in data architecture, modeling, and quality assurance.

  • Knowledge of data governance principles and compliance regulations.

  • Experience with ETL processes, database systems, and analytics tools.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Certifications such as Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) strongly preferred.

    In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $80,500- $171,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
