Job Title: Finance Projects Manager Job Number: CHQ20190511-34546 Location: Melbourne, FL

Description:

  • Act as the primary focal point for the management of various Continuous Improvement projects on behalf of Global Business Services (GBS) and act as the liaison with cross functional team members.

  • Lead and coordinate Continuous Improvement projects preparing cost benefit analysis for initial approval and developing project schedule. Projects could be in support of any of the GBS team initiatives. Additionally, produce summary of progress to noted report recipients.

  • Provide leadership for the GBS team and customer business partners related to expansion of the Continuous Improvement tool adoption.

  • Provides project management oversight to system process improvement teams inside the GBS ensuring milestones are established and achieved.

  • Manage matrix resources devoted to process improvement facilitation and implementation.

  • Provide leadership to lower level project managers ensuring their approach and deliverables are consistent with established project charters and department goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in Accounting and/or Finance required with a minimum of 9 years of related experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience as the project manager, preferably in the finance area.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA and/or PMP preferred.

  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.

  • Utilization of project management methodology preferably PMI.

  • Experience with working with business partners virtually and facilitation of change management in process improvements.

  • Experience in process improvements in accounting system applications.

  • Ability to prepare an advanced cost benefit model.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, Visio and MS Project.

  • Process improvement experience or education/training is preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a wide variety of areas with focus on analysis, problem solving and improvement.

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written, comfortable presenting to large groups and senior management.

  • Customer focused and able to deal with all levels within the organization.
