Job Description:

The Production Planner C is a support role to the Production Planning team. Responsibilities include assisting production planner in providing status on work in progress and updating of electronic reports, scheduling, coordinating and/or monitoring products through the complete production cycle of mature production program units to meet requirements. When required, will assist with receiving incoming materials from stock and re-distributing material to required production work stations and bins. Effective collaboration and coordination with production planner, manufacturing assemblers/technicians, material management, product line managers and quality are critical to the role.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates with production planning and program team members to achieve manufacturing goals

  • With production planning oversight, assists to meet operational measures including but not limited to efficiency, floor inventory accuracy, release on time and on time delivery.

  • Assists with managing and controlling manufacturing floor stock for assigned programs

  • Provides feedback to production planning of any potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.

  • May participate in manufacturing floor stock cycle counts as required.

    Qualifications:

  • Requires developing job knowledge/skills.High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Basic understanding of MS Office Applications with general understanding of Excel formulas

  • Experience in a production manufacturing environment

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management peers and subordinates.

  • Must possess strong results and goal/deadline-oriented work ethic, high attention to detail and be flexible.

  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to develop and bring to completion multiple assignments concurrently.
