Job Description:

L3Harris is currently seeking a Specialist, Software Engineer to join our team. This position will be based at our Greenville, TX facility and offers a 9/80 schedule.

Essential Functions:

  • Design, implement, and integrate software with languages such as C and C+

    • Ability to develop and analyze design tradeoffs against scope, cost, and schedule constraints.
  • Support continuous improvement, process innovation, and lessons learned activities.

  • Able to occasionally travel, up to 10%.

    Job Qualification Requirements:

    Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.

  • Experience with software development.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field

  • Strong working knowledge of C/C++ and C#

  • Experience with parallel processing using CUDA and/or OpenCL.

  • Experience with software development targeting Linux and Windows operating systems.

  • Experience with one or more additional programming languages such as Java or Python

  • Exposure to algorithms/processing related to navigation/time, MATLAB, or FPGA development/integration.

  • Ability to travel in support of strategic initiatives, up to 10%.

  • Active Secret or TS/SCI clearance
