Job Description :

RF Electronics/Engineering Technician to fill the role of RF subassembly and assembly prototyping and testing. In this role, individuals will be responsible for supporting the engineering staff in development and testing of various electronic hardware. Individual will be responsible for conducting tests and documenting results on a variety of RF and/or digital printed circuit boards, subassemblies, or end products. Must be capable of using a variety of test equipment, logging information in technical databases and able to read and understand engineering schematics. Experienced troubleshooting skills are required. This should include troubleshooting product, subassembly, and circuit board failures to component level. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a cross-functional team.

Essential Functions:

  • Support the testing and troubleshooting of RF subassemblies and products.

  • Experience in reading/creating electronic schematics or assembly drawings.

  • Familiar with basic test equipment, i.e. Signal generators, oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers, Network analyzers.

  • Capability to follow test procedures and document test results.

  • Experience in soldering wire, leaded and SMT electrical components.

  • Ability to pass IPC 610 training.

  • Ability to travel to customer locations and other L3Harris facilities as required to support program needs.

Requirements:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Prefer Secret Clearance.

  • Familiarity with the fabrication and testing of RF chip and wire circuits.

  • Experience with PCBA/SMT designs.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Able to perform LabVIEW driven automated tests.

  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills.

  • Ability to cross-train and work in a team-oriented environment.

  • Willingness to attend multi-level training in pertinent product areas.
